Job Description

The Project Lead focuses on account management as well as developing and maintaining relationships with designers and clients in the market. Experience and/or education in the Architecture and Design industry is preferred for the Project Lead to connect with clients as an expert in the Interior Design industry and make informed product recommendations. Design adjacent experience will also be considered (i.e. Construction Management, Industrial Design, Engineering, etc.). The Project Lead will approach business development with an innovative mindset to help achieve annual company goals.

Over time, the Project Lead will strategize with encompas teammates to identify new business opportunities. They will anticipate the wants and needs of clients and architects/designers, providing them with the tools and knowledge they need to create successful workspaces.

On a day-to-day basis, the Project Lead will serve both new and existing clients by performing a variety of activities that maintain the overall health of an account.   These include, but are not limited to

  • leading showroom tours

  • initiating meetings (lunches, happy hours, etc.) with key stakeholders

  • developing pricing and specification strategy

  • traveling to job sites to oversee current installations

The Project Lead will grow and maintain relationships and communication with our business partners: Manufacturers’ Representatives, Architecture and Design Firms, General Contractors, Real Estate Brokers/Developers, Installation Contractors, and more.

Preferred Skills + Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree - Preferably in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or Architecture. Design adjacent experience will be considered.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • Experience in Adobe InDesign and Acrobat preferred

  • Experience with common 3D modeling programs such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, etc. preferred

  • Ability to identify and vet opportunities in alignment with encompas’ business strategy

  • Skilled in executive decision-making and task delegation, leveraging team members’ strengths.

  • Experienced in leading project management and marketing teams to develop and present successful project proposals.

  • Disciplined self-starter who can manage multiple projects at the same time with focus and accuracy, maintaining project budget and schedule

  • People-oriented and a successful communicator who is comfortable fostering connections in the market through a variety of channels

  • Skilled presenter who is passionate about sharing knowledge

  • Highly collaborative and enjoys helping others succeed –building and maintaining relationships is paramount
